Q: Where are you located?
Brain Balance Psychology is located in Parker Arcade on the first floor. The main access through to reception is via Suite 3. When you walk through Parker Arcade, there will be a staircase up to the first floor, also known as the "Professional Suites".
Brain Balance (Suites 3-4) is located at the end of the hallway on the right.
Q: Where is the best place for parking?
For convenient parking, please locate Judges Carpark Penrith.
Q: Do I need a referral to see a Psychologist?
Short answer - No. You do not need a referral to see a Psychologist.
However, if you want to claim Medicare rebates, you must provide us with a valid referral form from your GP. For more information, please refer to our fees.
Q: How do you accept payment?
Brain Balance will store your credit/debit card details securely. Payment is received following your face-to-face appointment. Telehealth sessions require upfront payment when securing the booking. Brain Balance does not accept cash on the premises.
Q: Is the Brain Balance team vaccinated against COVID-19?
Yes. Our clinicians and administrative assistants are all COVID-19 vaccinated.
Q: Are there COVID safe practices at Brain Balance?
Yes. Brain Balance Psychology is a NSW COVID safe practice. Brain Balance follows COVID safe practices by using hand sanitiser, wearing face masks and using face shields where appropriate. We practice excellent COVID safe protocols such as using disinfectant wipes and anti-bacterial sprays in our rooms between each client.
Q: Can I receive reminders about my appointments?
Brain Balance Psychology's systems send automated email or SMS reminders 3 days prior to your appointment at approximately 9:00am. If you do not wish to receive an email reminder, please notify us during your intake process or notify our admin team.
Q: Is your office accessible?
Unfortunately, Brain Balance Psychology is not wheelchair accessible. Our clinic is located upstairs on Floor 1 and can only be accessed via stairs (approximately 20 stairs with hand rail and a platform midway).
For clients who have physical accessibility requirements, Brain Balance Psychology offers telehealth sessions.

Q: Does Brain Balance take walk in appointments?
Brain Balance does not take walk in appointments.
Q: What are your fees?
The Australian Psychological Society (APS) publishes a recommended fee guide for psychologists each year for a standard 46-60 minute consultation.
Brain Balance Psychology fees are $240 for a standard 46-60 minute consultation. Brain Balance reserves the right to amend fees at any time.
For NDIS participants, Brain Balance Psychology follows the NDIS Price Guide (2022-23) fee of $214.41.

Q: Is Brain Balance a NDIS registered provider?
No. Brain Balance is not a NDIS registered provider. However, we are still able to provide psychological services to Plan-Managed and Self-Managed NDIS participants.
Q: Does Brain Balance Psychology bulk bill sessions?
No, Brain Balance Psychology is not a bulk billing practice.
Q: Why don't you have testimonals listed on your website?
Psychologists practice under AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) in Australia. Regulated AHPRA practitioners are prohibited from publishing testimonials on their website.
